Let me just say that it is one of my favorite parks. Parc Collange is a little unknown treasure. Mainly just locals hanging around during their lunch breaks or with the kids. this park is very kid-friendly with two fun playgrounds. During the summer months you will also find a little café where you can enjoy a meal under the trees (My opinion is that a drink is just enough). This park has a lot of different atmospheres and for the story it will be soon renamed "Parc des Cinq Continents- Jacques Chirac". Jacques Chirac was a French president who passed away last month and was well known for his love of exotism. 5 continents because the garden recreates the different landscapes around the world which gives us the impression of being on vacation far away even though we're just minutes away from the subway station. The park gets crowded on the week-ends but is ideal for a picnic or even to read a book (you'll find a few free bookcases). And I can say, that it is usually pretty clean which we all know is a rarity in France.
